THIBODAUX – Deborah Raziano of Luling, director of Alumni Affairs at Nicholls State University, was recently elected Delta Zeta Sorority’s national president for the remainder of the 2002-2004 biennium in a special election held at the national headquarters in Oxford, Ohio.
“I consider this a tremendous honor,” Raziano said. “I think the leadership positions I have been afforded and the education I received here at Nicholls State, in addition to my valuable Delta Zeta experiences, are what have prepared me to take on the responsibility of leading Delta Zeta Sorority.”
Raziano is a member of Delta Zeta’s Kappa Alpha chapter at Nicholls State University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 1974. She has served nationally for Delta Zeta since 1995, including a recent term as national vice president of membership development.
