Spay or neuter your pet on the Snip Van

The Riverlands Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is proud to announce that the snip van will be back in St. John Parish on March 30 at 8 a.m. at Wal-Mart in LaPlace. LA-SPCA is working in cooperation with the Riverlands SPCA to bring this program to the LaPlace area. This program offers free and low cost spay and neuter for pets of people on low income and government assistance (proof is required). Appointments can be made by calling 652-7722 (leave a messege), other wise available spaces may be filled on the first come, first serve basis. Pets should not have food and water after midnight. Riverlands SPCA is the sponsor for this visit, revenue from a grant form the Mystic Krewe of Barkus will be used to pay for this day.

In the morning as well as after 1 p.m. volunteers of the Riverlands SPCA will be in front of Wal-Mart to answer additional pet related questions. Riverlans SPCA is a non-profit organization operating for 10 years in the River Parishes to help homeless animals. Come and help financially with a donation or by becoming a member, or please join our team of dedicated people. Men are especially needed for building of kennels and repairs.
