Steve Mayon of LaPlace, Louisiana won a Gold Medal on Saturday, January 10 at Fazzo Rainbow Lane in Harvey. Steve bowled a 175 in the District Tounrnament against other special athletes. He Qualified for the State Tournament which will be held in March in Baton Rouge, LA. Some of the people that make it possible for Steve to be successful at bowling are his staff with River Regions Personal Care Services, Inc. His facilitator and coach, Betty Melancon; Direct Care Staff; Wanda Young, Mona Cook, Lashonda Henderson and Sherri Joseph.
