Lutcher hopes to return to Dome

INDEPENDENCE – The Lutcher Bulldogs traveled to Independence last night and came away with a hard fought 15-0 victory in a defensive struggle. Wayne Albert scored both Bulldog touchdowns on runs of seven and five yards. The first touchdown coming with 47 seconds remaining in the first half. The Tigers were guilty of an offsides penalty on the extra point attempt, and with the penalty yardage, Lutcher converted the two-point conversion on a run by Dustin Mitchell, giving Lutcher an 8-0 halftime lead.

Albert had 81 yards rushing on the evening on 15 carries to go along with his two touchdowns. As a team, Lutcher ran the ball 39 times for 182 yards. The Bulldogs were six of 13 passing for 86 yards.

Lutcer held Independence to 147 yards of total offense on 91 rushing, and 56 passing yards. Each team fumbled twice and lost both.
