Riverside rumbles Buras, 42-0 3-hed line

Jared Caesar led rushing with 14 carries and 3 TDs
BURAS – The Riverside Academy Rebels used a stingy defense and a balanced running attack to defeat Buras 42-0 Friday night in Buras. Jared Caesar led the Rebels rushing attack with 14 carries for 72 yards and three touchdowns.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Rebels struck first when the Rebels went on a eight play, 35-yard drive that resulted in a Jared Caesar touchdown run from the four-yard line.
With about 30 seconds remaining until halftime, the Rebels scored again when quarterback AJ Delaneuville found Lee Haydel for a 24-yard touchdown pass to give Riverside a 13-0 lead.
With Riverside and Buras having punted near the start of the third quarter, Rebels running back Donnie Terrio took it in from 12-yards out. The two-point conversion by Haydel was good. Riverside led 21-0 with seven minutes left in the third quarter.
With the ball resting at the Buras 37-yard-line, Delaneuville completed another touchdown pass to Haydel to make the score 28-0 with 3:46 remaining in the third quarter.
Riverside executed their biggest drive of the game in the fourth quarter.
A nine-play, 62-yard drive was capped off by an eight-yard touchdown run by Caesar with 9:33 left in the game. His touchdown made it 35-0 Riverside.
A fumble recovery by Jordan Poirrier set up the final touchdown of the night.
Riverside running back Andrew Herring ran it in from the 33-yard line to make the score 42-0 Riverside.
The Rebels defense had four sacks in the game for a total of -24 yards.
In addition, they only allowed one completed pass in the game.
