LAPLACE — Domestic abuse has landed a LaPlace women in the hospital after a dispute around 8:30 p.m. Saturday night.

A deputy, Felony Intercept officers and 200 shift officers were dispatched to a housing development on Joe Parquet Circle in LaPlace for domestic disturbance.

Upon arrival officers found Deadre Faciane, 44, sitting on the street curb severely beaten, swollen and bleeding with several facial lacerations after allegedly being beaten with a beer bottle and kicked by Tyrone Alexander, 47 of Reserve, according to reports from the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Faciane stated Alexander said he was going to kill her, because she would not go inside her apartment.

The officers began a search for Alexander and found him hiding beside one of the apartments. Officers ordered him to stop and arrested him. Alexander then ran from the officers and was eventually stopped and brought to the ground where he physically fought the officers by kicking, punching and swinging, according to incident reports.

Alexander was subdued and handcuffed. It is reported on the way to Sherman Walker Correctional Center, Alexander threatened to kill the officers involved in the arrests and said he would also kill their families.

Alexander had to be placed in a restraint chair where he spit on an officer. Alexander was charge with aggravated battery by domestic violence, resisting an officer by flight, resisting officers by violence, battery of a police officer and public intimidation of a police officer, according to incident reports.

Alexander is being held at the Sherman Walker Correctional Center in LaPlace on a $45,500 bond set by Judge Madeline Jasmine.

Faciane was transported to River Parishes Hospital for medical treatment.
