LAPLACE-Chalk up another win on the scoreboard for the St. Charles Catholic Lady Comets.

St. Charles Catholic finished district 10-3A play on Thursday afternoon with a convincing 21-3 victory over St. James on the road.

The win secures second place for the Lady Comets with a 6-2 district record.

Scoring 12 runs in the fifth inning, Felcia Taylor and Addie Renie went 2-3 with a single run driven in.

Meanwhile in the circle, Mary Clement picked up the win after four innings of two-hit ball.

“We played well,” Clement said. “21 runs is always nice and Holly Vicknair came in and pitched very well in the fifth inning in relief.”
