LULING — Two Luling residents were arrested Sunday after a St. Charles Parish deputy caught them in the act of conducting a dogfight in their yard.
Capt. Patrick Yoes of the St. Charles Sheriff’s Office reported Antonio S. Rhodes, 25, and Alex M. Gale, 22, both of 1408 Paul Fredrick St., were spotted by a passing deputy holding the pit bull dogfight on the south side of the residence.
He made the block and stopped, then placed the pair under arrest.
Rhodes also had an outstanding fugitive warrant from the Kenner Police Department on an unspecified charge, Yoes added. Rhodes was released Monday upon posting $200 bond.
Gale was likewise released after posting $130 bond and Kenner P.D. signed his release.
