Robinson homicide investigation continuing

VACHERIE — St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office are still investigating the shooting on April 16 at Big Stuff Bar in Vacherie killing 24-year-old James Robinson III of Mt. Airy.
Crime Investigations Capt. Sid Berthelot of the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office said nothing new has come up in the investigation.
“We are still investigating,” he said. “We are continuing to work with minor evidence.”
The shooting at Big Stuff Bar, located at 2137 Perkins Street resulted from a fight and left one injured.
According to the St. James Sheriff Department, deputies were called to a scene outside the bar and heard several shots being fired inside the bar.

who had been shot twice. Robinson was taken to East St. James Hospital and then transferred to Charity Hospital in New Orleans, according to St. James Sheriff Department.
Robinson died the next day from his wounds at Charity Hospital.
