ST. ROSE – A 42-year-old Norco woman was held against her will at gunpoint early Tuesday morning by a St. Rose man who helped her fuel up her vehicle, St. Charles Sheriff Greg Champagne reported.
Kenneth Isaac, 27, 728 Mockingbird Lane, was charged with second-degree kidnapping.
Isaac spotted the victim at the intersection of River Road and the Preston Hollow Subdivision where her car had apparently run out of gas.
After Isaac helped put fuel into the woman’s car he allegedly sat in the vehicle where he pointed a gun at the victim, demanded $20, and forced her to drive him around for several hours, authorities said.
The two stopped at several gas stations early Tuesday morning before the victim convinced Isaac to let her use the restroom at the RaceTrac gas station on Airline Drive and Almedia Road around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The victim was able to notify a customer at the RaceTrac that she was being held against her will by Issac at which point the St. Charles Sheriff’s Office was contacted. Deputies arrived and arrested Smith shortly after the phone call was placed.
Bond was set for Issac at $300,000 by Judge Emile St. Pierre.
