Larayo towers over Hill Heights

The Larayo Barracudas rode a wave of success last week when they hit the road to play Hill Heights and used their breaststroke, butterfly and relay races to take an overpowering 379.5-173.5 win.

In the opening races, this match looked to be a tight one. After one full event, less than four points seperated the two teams. Action continued to stay hot with a close backstroke to end the first 24 events with Larayo ahead by 15 points. But after that, it was all Barracudas.

Jordan Jensen got it started with a first place finish in the boys 6 & Under age grouping, and a string of victories followed all the way to the 15-18 category where Ross Brignac and Elizabeth Jackson finished first. Larayo never let up after that and would miss only three more first place finishes in the meet.

Larayo has a busy week this week as they are set to travel to face Ellington on Monday, travel to Belle Terre for a make-up on Wednesday and host Sun Villa on Thursday.
