Louisiana State Police investigated a fatality accident which occurred Tuesday at 6 a.m. on Airline Highway near the St. John Airport. Sgt Chavez. Cammon of the State Police reported that a 67-year-old Lutcher woman was eastbound on Airline when she lost control of her Chrysler, swerved across the median and struck a Pontchartrain Levee District truck with two male passengers. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Dr. Christy Montegut. Identification was pending notification at press time. The truck’s passengers were transported to River Parishes Hospital in LaPlace. Their injuries appeared to be not life-threatening and both wore seat belts, according to Chavez.
