LAPLACE – Anthony “Tony” Windsor Beauford II, 31, a native of LaPlace and a resident of Hammond, died May 7.
He was the husband of Renee Griffin Beauford.
He is survived by his mother Edna Pearl Beauford, siblings Albert Ryan Beauford and Michelle Renee Beauford, two nieces and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Anthony Windsor Beauford.
Services were held May 12 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ponchatoula with interment in Sand Hill Cemetery, Ponchatoula.
BROUSSARD
LAPLACE – Charles Ralph Boussard Sr., 81, a native of Baldwin and a resident of New Orleans, Covington and LaPlace, died May 9. He was the husband of Catherine Martin Broussard.
He is survived by his children Charles R. (Meriam) Broussard Jr., Michael (Saundra) Broussard, Veronica Broussard, Kevin (Darilyn) Broussard and Geri (Carl) Broussard-Baloney.
He is also survived by a brother Donald Broussard, 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur Broussard and Sarah Dickerson and siblings Gloria Broussard-Davis, Arthur Broussard, Leo Broussard and Aristide Dallas Broussard.
Services were held May 12 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, LaPlace, with interment in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Paulina.
DEJEAN
NORCO – Melvin A. DeJean, 92, a native of Lutcher and a resident of Norco, died May 9.
He was the husband of the late Inez Simon DeJean by first marriage and the late Grace DeJean by second marriage.
He is survived by his children Patricia DeJean Costa, Mel (Carolyn) DeJean and Dennis and Martin DeJean.
He is also survived by a sister Ethel DeJean Hayes, 11 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents George and Virginia Duhe DeJean and siblings George, Percy, Dudley, Elwood, Roy and Harry DeJean and Gloria DeJean Brignac and Shirley DeJean Knott.
Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norco, with interment in St. Peter Catholic Church Cemetery, Reserve.
H.C. Alexander Funeral Home of Nocro is in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. at the church.
DORSEY
GARYVILLE – Octavia “Tee” Dorsey, 89, a native and resident of Garyville, died May 8. She was the wife of the late Ferdinand Dorsey Sr.
She is survived her step-child Joel Allen.
She is also survived by niece Claudia K. Schexnayder and grandson Kevin Allen.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jonas and Virginia James Williams, son Ferdinand Dorsey Jr., siblings Rose Minor Knight and Kelly Williams and nephew Eunice Williams.
Services were held May 12 at True Light Baptist Church, Garyville, with interment in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Reserve.
LASSEIGNE
RESERVE – Beatrice Vicknair Lasseigne, 95, a native and resident of Reserve, died May 9. She was the wife of the late Leo Lasseigne.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Amelues ad Eusela Vicknair and siblings Francis Vicknair, Thelma Bourg, Edna Mae Montz and Hilda Labat.
Services were held May 12 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment in the church cemetery.
LIPPS
RESERVE – David Louis Lipps Jr., 35, a native of Reserve and resident of Houston, died May 7. He was the son of David Sr. and Laura Lipps, and father of Jacoby Parquet and Cristian Louis Lipps.
He was also the brother of Kawan and Nia Lipps and stepbrother of Alysia Reed and Lana Turner.
He was also the grandson of the late Wilfred and Pauline Miller and Albert and Louisa Lipps.
Services are today at 11 a.m., at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.
Robottom Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. at the church.
LOUSTEAU
NORCO – Agnes Lizzie Montz Lousteau, 97, a native of Lions and a resident of Norco. She was the wife of the late Albert Joseph Lousteau.
She is survived by children and children-in-law Albert Joseph, Patricia Snodgrass Lousteau, Agnes Faye Lousteau and George Augustine Lasseigne Jr., Gordon Jerome and Rai Whittier Lousteau, Anne Virginia Lousteau and Robert Cecil Creel II, Bernard Montz and Celeste Wegmann Lousteau.
She is also survived by siblings Grace M. St. Pierre, Guy N. Montz and Lester R. Montz, 31 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank Montz and Lizzie Cambre Montz and siblings Aline Josephine Montz, Lucretia M. Pollet, Beulah Mae Montz Trepagnier, Claude Montz, Sidney D. Montz and Ben Montz.
Services were held May 8 at Sacred Heart Catholic church, Norco, with interment in St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan.
MALANCON
VACHERIE – Eva Gwen Collins Malancon, 62, a native and resident of Vacherie, died May 8. She was the wife of James Malancon Sr.
She is survived by children James (Denise) Jr., Rydell (Yvette), Tammy (Richard), Romero, Ryan and Donnavon Malancon.
She is also survived by siblings Barbara Gibson, Marion Jefferson, Julius Collins Sr. and Robert Collins Jr., grandchildren Karanique, Devin, Breanna, Brittany, Aliyah, Romero Jr., Rae’shaun, Ty and DeVaugh, great-grandchildren Clydell and C’naj, three aunts, two uncles, eight sisters-in-law, 11 brothers-in-law and five godchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Cecil Luke Florent and Ernest Florent and a son Bernell Malancon.
Services were held May 11 at St. Philip Catholic Church, Vacherie, with interment in the church cemetery.
VICKNAIR
RESERVE – J.D. Vicknair Jr., 81, a native and resident of Reserve, died May 10. He was the husband of Zelma Jacob Vicknair.
He is survived by children Patricia (Gene) Carter and Phillip (JoAnn) Vicknair.
He is also survived by siblings James, Carol, John, Drew and Carl Vicknair, Peggy Teen, Love Joy Catoire, Anita Ann Abreo, Nancy Duhe, Susan Kinney and Katherine Ducote, grandchildren Scott Carter, Amanda Martinez, Phillip Jr. and Jake Vicknair and great-grandchildren Emily and Evan Martinez.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Justine Vicknair and siblings Melvin an dNorman Vicknair.
Services were held May 12 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment in the church cemetery.
