With St. Charles and Riverside heading into their final regular season match-up yesterday, it’s clear that these two want to meet one more time.

In the state finals.

With a perfect district record, and dominant performances against virtually all of their opponents, SCC looks to be light years ahead of most of the 10-2A competition. But Riverside has been keeping things interesting by staying on the Comets heels, even battling their rivals to a bitter loss for the Rebels in their last district meeting. But with the Comets already clinching district, the Rebels have set their sights on finishing up the regular season schedule and hope to beat the Comets when it really counts — in the state championship game.

The high school playoff tournament begins next week with the brackets set to be released on April 25. The tournament will culminate with the finals, which are set for May 12 & 13 to be played at Zephyr Field in Metairie.

Local fans can bet both of these teams intend on being there. And on winning it.
