CONVENT – Helen &#8220Noone” Martin Louque, 90, a resident of Convent, died March 18. She was the wife of Ferdinand &#8220Knox” Louque.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Myrna and John Cox, Glenda and William Abreo and Sheilah and James Schexnayder.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Camille and Berth Martin and siblings Mildred De Laneuville, Arthur, Ignace, Wilfred, Ferdnand, Gaston and Francis.

Services were held March 21 at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Lutcher, with interment in St. Michael Cemetery, Convent.

MELANCON

PAULINA – Daniel V. Melancon, 89, a resident of Paulina, died March 20. He was the husband of Edna Martin Melancon.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law Kathleen and Stephen (Brad) Audiffred and Suzanne and Ralph Remondet.

He is also survived by grandchildren Roman and Rod Remondet and Danielle R. Simon and great-grandchildren Abby, Logan and Clark Remondet.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elphege Melancon and Odile Poche Melancon and siblings Beulah M. Laiche, Loretta A. Melancon, Rita M. Roussel, Edward, Elphege, Mark and Alvin Melancon.

Services will be held today at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Paulina. H.C. Alexander Funeral Home of Lutcher is in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 8:30 a.m. at the church.

MARINE

NORCO – Joseph William Marine Sr., 77, a resident of St. Charles Parish, died March 18. He was the husband of the late Marilyn Gomila Marine.

He is survived by his children Joseph W., Jr., Kenneth James Marine, Cheryl M. Riddle, Susan M. Bailey and Michael M. Marine.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Christina Susan Bailey, Chad Richard Bailey and Scott Ryan Riddle.

Services were held March 21 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, with interment in the church mausoleum.

VICKNAIR

DESTREHAN – Alex Joseph Vicknair, 88, a native of Sorrento and a resident of Destrehan, died March 19. He was the husband of the late Bertie Vicknair.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Kathy and David Cochrane.

He is also survived by siblings Leona Ferraro, Avis Landry, Rowena Taylor and Shirley Pisciotti, grandchildren Alex III, Brittaney, Jacob Vicknair, David James and Dylon Chochrane and great-grandson Kevin Vicknair.

He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Julianne Keller Vicknair, siblings Beauregard, Oliver, Ernest Vicknair, Calice Decareaux, Angeline Gonor and Lena Petit and grandson David Joseph Cochrane.

Services will be held March 25 at 11 a.m. at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Lutcher, with interment in St. Charles Mausoleum, Destrehan.

ZIMMER

LUTCHER – Gertrude Guidry Zimmer, 77, a native and resident of Lutcher, died March 20. She was the wife of the late Edward J. &#8220Eddie” Zimmer.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Dale and Sally Zimmer, Lane and Cindy Zimmer, Byron and Sheila Zimmer and Donnie and Jalene Zimmer.

She is also survived by grandchildren Robert, Mya, Lane Jr., Joey, Dustin, Derek, Daphne, Zachary and Logan Zimmer, brother George Lynn Guidry, sister-in-law Marie Guidry, sister and brother-in-law Betty and Percy Millet and friend Herman LeMoine.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Me’loe’ Roussel Guidry and brothers Larry and Raymond Guidry.

Services will be held March 23 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Paulina.

Rose Lynn Funeral Services of Lutcher is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be held today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, and on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the funeral home. The rosary will be recited by the Catholic Daughters tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
