LUTCHER – Bernice Hebert Bourgeois, 85, a native of Thibodaux and a resident Lutcher, died Feb. 23.

She was the wife of Jessie Louis Bourgeois.

She is survived by her children Jessie Jr., Wayne, Gary, Larry, Kevin and Blair Bourgeois, Sonja Bourgeois Gros and Gail Bourgeois Peet.

She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Aurlie Rodriguez Hebert, a son Dale Bourgeois and brothers Burt, Clifford, Wilson, James and Ivy Hebert.

Services were held Feb. 27 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum, Paulina.

CONEGLIO

LUTCHER – Faith S. Coneglio, 69, a resident of Lutcher, died Feb. 25.

She was the wife of George Coneglio Jr.

She is survived by her children David and Karl Coneglio, Stephanie Moore, Lauren Nosacka and Maurie Duhe.

She is also survived by siblings Joy Monica, Frank, George, Ethel and Aleta Scharwath, 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Ethel Scharwath and siblings F. Herbert and David Scharwath.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Paulina, with interment in St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina.

H.C. Alexander Funeral Home of Lutcher is in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 8:30 a.m. at the church.

MONICA

GARYVILLE – Louis R. &#8220L.R.” Monica Sr., 74, a native and resident of Garyville, died Feb. 23.

He was the husband of Joycelyn Smith Monica.

He is survived by his children Tony (Cindy) Monica, Kathleen (Paul) Simon, Deborah (David) Naquin, Joycelyn (Randy) Himel and Raymond (Linda) Monica.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Katie Kolwe, Maria Monica Cauble, Jessica Himel, Lauren and Allison Naquin and Ray, Lindsey and Austin Monica, stepfather Victor Miano and brother Levi (Betty) Monica.

He was preceded in death by his parents Anthony Monica and Agnes Hargis Monica Miano.

Services were held Feb. 27 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Garyville, with interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Reserve.

SEWELL

BATON ROUGE – Carey Sewell Sr., 68, a native of Picayune, MS and a resident of Baton Rouge, died Feb. 21.

He was the husband of Barbara Harper.

He is survived by his children Nikki Sewell, Carey Sewell Jr., Kimberly Sewell and god daughter Odessa Ford.

He is also survived by grandchildren Kerrick Sewell and Elisha Taheim Jones, godchildren Kennth and Kevin Ellis and Kentrell Hayes, siblings Fairy Lee Sewell, Ada Sewell Borelli, David, Douglas Sewell and Nathan Richmond and brothers and sisters-in-law Jake Harper, Rev. William Harper,, Ernest Pierce, Margaret Harper, Diane, Ethel Sewell, Elouis Smith, Gloria Jackson and Luther Mae Pierce.

He was preceded in death by siblings Vanderbilt Jr., Jamie Lee Sewell, Henry Richmond and Marshall Richmond and nephew Todd Sewell.

Services were held Feb. 27 at True Light Baptist Church, Garyville, with interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery, Zachary.
