Santa &#8220Sadie” Maria Barreca, 78, a native of New Orleans and resident of Norco, died Sunday, June 24.

She was the daughter of the late Salvadore &#8220Sam” Barreca and Josephine Carbone Barreca; and the sister of the late Joseph, Thomas and Frank Barreca.

She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

Services were held Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norco, followed by Interment at St. Charles Cemetery in Destrehan.

Vicknair

Ferdinand &#8220Frere” Joseph Vicknair Jr., 65, a native and resident of St. James Parish, died Monday, June 25, 2007.

He was the son of the late Ferdinand Vicknair Sr. and Virginia Matherne Vicknair; the brother of Nelson Vicknair; and the uncle of Christine and Troy Vicknair.

Services were held Thursday, June 28, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, followed by interment at the church cemetery.
