Joseph M. Scontrino, Jr. on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 4:15 pm. Beloved husband of Lydia Tally Scontrino. Father of Cindy Gillies, Joey Scontrino III and Joy Scontrino. Step-father of Shawn Bruno. Son of the late Joseph, Sr. and Esther R. Scontrino.

Brother of Patricia Anderson, Nolan Scontrino and Betty Frank. Grandfather of Misty Trant, Lindsay Finnin, Derek and Nicole Scontrino, Brittney LeFebvre and Kegan Gillies.

Great-grandfather of Johnny Finnan. Step-grandfather of Skylar, Calab and Jadan Bruno, Amy and Blake Gillies. Age 69 years. A native of New Orleans, LA. and a resident of Slidell, LA. for the past 31 years.

Funeral services were held at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Hwy., Laplace on Saturday, July 14, 2007.

Followed by Religious Services at the funeral home chapel at 1 pm. Burial in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Laplace.

Seruntine Jr.

Henry Seruntine, Jr. on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 10:35 p.m.

Beloved husband of the late Janet Dale Seruntine. Father of Sherry Seruntine, Sally Coco, Dean, Glenn and Hank Seruntine. Also survived by 9 grandchildren. Age 67.

A native of New Orleans and a resident of Laplace for the past 25 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend services. Visitation at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Hwy., Laplace on Monday, July 16, 2007 from 8 am until 10 am followed by religious services at the funeral home chapel at 10 am. Burial in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Laplace.

LULING – Elizabeth &#8220Beth” A. Voros, 67, died July 14.

She is survived by husband Robert &#8220Bob” J. Voros, Sr.

She is also survived by sons Robert &#8220Rob” J. Voros, Jr. and his wife Emily; also, Susan &#8220Sue” Candies and her husband Jerry; also, Sandra &#8220Sandy” Johnson and her husband Jeff.

She is also survived by sister Noreen Danter, her nephews Drew and Jack, nieces Belinda, Sharon, Laurie, Andrea and Daisy, and grandchildren Brianne, Marissa, Eli, Dalton, and Emmet.

She is also survived by her best friend and neighbor of 29 years, Lucie Vegas.

She was preceded in death by parents Mary R. Way and Andrew Erskine, Sr; also, her brother, Andrew Erskine, Jr.

Services will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Luling, on July 19 at 7 p.m.

Savario

LAPLACE – James Quinn Savario died, at age 60, on the morning of Wednesday July 11.

He is the beloved father-in-law of Gwen Savario; the grandfather of Kathleen, Ethan and Seth Savario; the Brother of Patricia Hawas, David Savario, and Julia Lacour Savario; also survived by nieces and nephews.

He is the former husband of Cheryl Walter.

He was a carpenter and furniture repairman and a medical records clerk with the U.S. Army. He graduated from McNeese State in P.E. and History.

He was buried on Monday, July 16 at the Port Hudson National Cemetery, in Zachary, La.
