Brandon Woods, 33, tried to support his sister following a domestic disturbance between her and her boyfriend when a gun battle erupted and someone riddled Woods with bullets, according to the St. John Sheriff’s Office.

The sister later came to the house on Cardinal Drive and fought with her boyfriend, leaving him with severe injuries that required treatment at River Parishes Hospital.

She left to an unknown location and her boyfriend drove to the hospital just before Woods’, her son and two of their friends arrived at the house on Cardinal Drive looking for the boyfriend.

An argument erupted between the Woods’ party and the people at the home that turned violent when several people starting firing guns and Woods was left with several bullet wounds.

His group sped towards River Parishes Hospital to get him treatment, but available doctors were unable to keep him alive.
