Royal Dennis Jr., 51, a native of St. James and resident of Oakland, Calif., died Saturday, May 19, 2007.

He was the father of Shante Dennis and the fiancé of Marie Addison.

He was also the son of the late Royal Dennis Sr. and Irma C. Dennis, brother of Angelia, Janet, JoAnn and Elondia Dennis, Ara Bartholomew, Deslinea Dennis, Andrew, Wilfred and Allen Dennis.

He is also survived by a grandchild, Dalisha White, and a host of other aunts, uncles, a cousin and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 10 a.m. at St. Luke Baptist Church in St. James, followed by services at noon and burial in the church cemetery.

DeRoche

Marie W. DeRoche, 88, a native and resident of Lutcher, died May 21, 2007,

She was the wife of the late Sheffard J. DeRoche Sr. and the mother Gwynne &#8220Feenie” Bordelon, Sheffard Jr. &#8220Butch”, Louis, and Stephanie &#8220Stevie”.

She was the daugher of the late Gilbert E. and Beatrice Lirette Whitney and the sister of Baby Bernard, Gilbert Jr.; Cornelius Sr. &#8220Buddy”, Randolph &#8220Tater”, Timothy and Wayne Whitney, Mary W. Raymond, Carol W. Crawford, Judith W. Cronin and Joan W. Gonzalez.

She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services were held Friday, May 25, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Paulina.

Kugler

Charles Joseph Kugler, 84, a resident of Destrehan, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007.

He was the husband of Thelma Braud Kugler and the father of Melanie Landry, Mary Beth Anderson, Jan Ambrose, Barbara Potter and Brent Kugler.

He was also the son of the late Charles and Lelia Dufresne Kugler and the brother of Rita Haydel, Merle Kugler, Verna Price, Audrey Brady, Louise Bole and Jeannette Gainey.

He also survived by 13 grandchildren and was preceeded in death by one grandchild.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 26, 2007 from 9-11 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Road in Destrehan, followed by services at 11 a.m. and interment at the church mausoleum.

Madere

Byron Charles Madere, 51, a native and resident of Lutcher, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007.

He was the husband of Melissa Veron Madere and the father of Meagan Madere;

He was also the son of Elissa Bourgeois Madere and the late Noe &#8220N.J.” Madere and the brother of Darin Madere.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 26, 2007 from 8:30 a.m.-noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, followed by services at noon and interment at the church cemetery.
