Serial criminal arrested

RESERVE – A Reserve man known on the streets as &#8220Criminal” is allegedly living up to his namesake.

Reginald Perilloux, Jr. was arrested on Tuesday for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, criminal damage to property, possession of a controlled substance and battery of a police officer, bringing his total charges in the last 10 months up to 15, according to the St. John Sheriff’s Office.

Perilloux, 27, reportedly began causing problems while visiting the home of Michelle Miller and Sharon DiSalvo on River Road on Jan. 13, and left when he was asked to, but returned a short while later and forced open the door. Charles Rayfield Jr. and Jermain Schnyder, 23, attempted to remove him, but he resisted and slammed Rayfield into a coffee table, breaking it into pieces, according to the St. John Sheriff’s Office.

Schnyder and Rayfield were able to force Perilloux out of the home, who in response shattered two windows at the front of the house by throwing flower pots. Miller, 15, reportedly suffered cuts from flying glass shards.

Perilloux left the property and Miller’s mother DiSalvo reported the incident to police when she had access to a telephone several hours later.

Officers arrested Perilloux three days later, who allegedly thrashed his head against the police car’s window during the drive and punched an officer in the eye when they reached the jail. He was subdued at the scene and police discovered three Darvocets, a pain reliever similar to codeine, on his person, according to Maj. Mike Tregre of the St. John Sheriff’s Office. At press time he was being held at the St. John Parish Jail.

Perilloux has reportedly not held a job in that time frame. &#8220I’ve never known him to have a profession,” Maj. Mike Tregre of the St. John Sheriff’s Office said.
