The Lady Rams took their first district win in 9-1A play last week with a 64-43 win over East Iberville.
Jada Fiffie led WSJ’s offense in the victory with 19 points while Kala Morris came in right behind her with 18. The West St. John girls played tight through the first half, but used a 29-13 run in the third quarter to put the game comfortably into their control.
After that, the Lady Rams held on for the win with defense, allowing just nine points to the Iberville squad in the fourth quarter, ending any thoughts of a rally.
The win puts WSJ at 8-8 on the year, 1-2 in district.
The rematch for these two teams is set for Feb. 2 in a home game for Iberville.
