Robbery reported in Destrehan

DESTREHAN – St. Charles Sheriff’s deputies are continuing their investigation into a bank robbery that took place last week.
Authorities said that a black male, wearing a black shirt, dark jeans, tennis shoes and a hat, entered a Chase bank near Airline Highway and Ormond Boulevard and demanded money from the teller behind the counter.
A Sheriff’s Office report describes the suspect as tall and muscular. The robber did not show a weapon, and it has not been determined if he in fact had one.
Investigators do not have a suspect, but are following various leads. Anyone with information that could lead to an arrest is asked to contact the St. Charles Sheriff’s Office at 985-783-6807.
