Gregoire

Hattie Ann Gregoire, 63, a homemaker, died June 18, 2008. The LaPlace native is the daughter of Everlina Gregoire and the late Clayton Gregoire; mother of Joyce Jones, Denise, Sandy, Monique, Leona, Jermaine, Everlina Gregoire, and the late Joseph Gregoire; sister of Evelyn Bourgeois, Delores Cayold, Bernice Holland, Leona Taylor, Robert, Welton and Ronnie Gregoire. Visitation and services were held Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Providence Baptist Church in Montz. Interment in Providence Rest Haven Cemetery in LaPlace.

Girshefski

Sister Mary Jeanne Girshefski, 81, died June 19, 2008. The New Orleans resident was the daughter of the late John Girshefski and Rosetta Fischer Girshefski; sister of Jeanne G. Dunn; half-sister of the late Ruth Burst, Mae Norris, And Ethel Richard. After professing her vows in 1952, Girshefski taught at St. Peter School in Reserve, St. Mary’s Dominican College, and St. Anthony of Padua School in New Orleans. A funeral mass will be held at St. Henry’s Church, 812 Gen. Pershing St., New Orleans, starting at 11 a.m. Interment in the Dominican Sisters’ Cemetery in Rosaryville, Ponchatoula, La.
