St. Charles Borromeo School box top coordinator, Bridget St. Pierre, issued a challenge for students to collect 50,000 box tops for the 2007-2008 school year. As one of their rewards, Principal Donalyn Hassenboehler agreed to be taped to the school gym’s wall. The eighth grade class collected the highest amount with over 6,000 box tops to win an ice cream party. In March, the school’s goal was met and students sending in box top collection sheets were entered into a random drawing. In May, 25
students received a piece of tape to be placed on principal, Donalyn Hassenboehler, in a school assembly. The school’s grand total received from the collection of box tops was $5,270.37.
