Riverside’s Josh Tassin has been one of the Rebels’ top offensive weapons for the past two years, and the 6’0 junior guard has taken a step forward this season.
Combining a sweet shot from the outside with a knack for finishing at the basket, Tassin averages 18 points per game this season for the Rebels.
Riverside Coach Ben Wilson says that Tassin’s development is linked to his commitment and overall love of the basketball.
“I think basketball is clearly the top thing for Josh,” Wilson says. “He loves being around his teammates and learning the game. It all means a lot to him.”
Wilson notes that Tassin compliments his considerable offensive skills with playmaking ability on the defensive end and on the boards – he averages three steals and six rebounds per game.
“He’s matured as a player so much in the past year, both on and off the court,” Wilson says. “Little things we’ve talked about improving, he’s gone a long way to apply it. He’s a guy that’s real solid on both ends of the floor… he’s come very far in every aspect.”
So with that said, let’s get to know Josh Tassin.
