LAPLACE – The sentencing of former St. John the Baptist Parish President Bill Hubbard has been continued for 60 days while investigators review the efforts of Hubbard to cooperate with authorities.

Hubbard’s sentencing date was originally set for Dec. 15. Hubbard pleaded guilty on Sept. 25 to soliciting $20,000 in bribes from three parish contractors.

According to Hubbard’s attorney, Donald “Chick” Foret, no new trial date has been set.
