There is such a thing as a free lunch

In a tradition that dates back at least a quarter of a century, the Reserve Knights of Columbus hosted a packed house of area senior citizens for their annual Christmas celebration. Although the event is free, those who wished to attend had to first secure tickets to the event, which included entertainment courtesy of the St. Peter School bell choir, bingo and a traditional Christmas dinner. One lucky attendee, Neil Bourg of LaPlace, even walked away with a brand new flat screen television courtesy of St. john Parish Sheriff Wayne Jones. According to KC Senior Citizen Chairman Burt Cashio, the celebration is funded both through the Knights of Columbus and donations from the community.
