Over 500 Girl Scouts from throughout Southeast Louisiana attended the “Swing into Spring” festival hosted by Girl Scouts Louisiana East at Girl Scout Camp Marydale in St. Francisville. The event featured activities and presentations that encouraged girls to discover the numerous organizations that help and support the community, connect with the things that they do, and take action to make the world a better place.

Girl Scouts participated in the event’s service project by bringing non-perishable food items for donation to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, which collected 447 pounds of food that will serve 596 meals.
