St. Charles Catholic High School (left to right) sophomore Megan Ruiz and juniors Gabriel Alarcon and Matthew Torres participate in a chemistry experiment meant to test the effectiveness of sunscreen. Students coated beads that change color in the sun with different SPF levels of sunscreen and used timers to find out how much time had elapsed from initial contact with the sun until the beads changed colors.
