Sisters reign over River Parishes Fall Festival

On Saturday, Nov. 13, the River Parishes Fall Festival crowned Brooke Stein, 17, as their new 2010-2011 Miss Queen of Hearts. She is a senior at St. Charles Catholic High School, where she is an honor roll student, member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, French Club, FCA, Retreat Team, Eucharistic Minister and serves as co-captain of the Star Stepper Dance Team and Student Council vice president. Her future plans are to attend LSU and become a chemical engineer. In her spare time she enjoys shopping, dancing, scrap booking and spending time with family and friends. She is the daughter of Gregg and Celeste Stein of LaPlace.
Other winners in the Miss division were Lindsey Prima, 20, of Hammond, first runner up and prettiest smile; Jenna Mire, 17, of Destrehan, second runner up, prettiest eyes and fashion; Misty Mauduit, 20, of Norco, third runner up and prettiest hair; Kelsey Matthews, 18, of Destrehan, fourth runner up; and Arien Gordon, 18, of Ponchatoula, fifth runner up.
Brooke’s younger sister, Madison Stein, 14, of LaPlace, was crowned the 20010-2011 Teen Queen of Hearts. She also won the prettiest hair and photogenic award. She is presently a freshman at St. Charles Catholic High School. She is an honor roll student and a member of the Sparks Cheer/Dance Team, Student Council, FCA Club and French Club. She loves shopping, scrap booking, goggling, flying and spending time with her family and friends. Her future plans are to attend Louisiana State University and become a female pilot one day. She is the daughter of Gregg and Celeste Stein of LaPlace.
Other winners in the Teen Division were Abby Hugger, 15, of Norco, first runner up; Gabrielle Reicke, 16, of Montz, Levet, 16, of LaPlace, third runner up, prettiest eyes and fashion; Lauren Robicheaux, 13, of Destrehan, fourth runner up and prettiest smile.
As the reigning 2010 Miss and Teen Queen of Hearts, Brooke and Madison will travel the state of Louisiana visiting various fairs and festivals. Brooke will also represent the River Parishes Fall Festival at the 2011 Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals Convention and Queen of Queens pageant to be held in Baton Rouge in February 2011.
The mistresses of ceremonies for the pageant were Miss St. Charles Parish Festival Queen Chelsey Hymel and Teen St. Charles Parish Festival Queen Lynleigh Landry.
