St. Peter Chanel is launching a program this year called “SPC Gives Back.” Building B (Gr. 1-3) recently sponsored a “Dress Down Day” for Breast Cancer Awareness in honor of Jane Babin, second-grade teacher, who is battling breast cancer. The monies collected will be given to Relay for Life. Also during the month of October, students are allowed to wear pink shoelaces for Breast Cancer Awareness. Jane Babin’s second-grade class wearing their pink and purple shirts are (front row) Garrett Gill, (second row, left to right) Remy Rizzuto, Jace Bourgeois, Joshua LeBoeuf, Mallory LaBauve, Brynn Furgeson, Sloane Zeller and Austin Martin; and (back row, left to right) Karyn Poche, Madison Beier, Kaitlyn Duhon, Blaine Barnett, Abbey Michel, Kamryn Duhon, Reese Madere, Adrian Oubre, Logan St.Pierre, Cole Williamson, Kori Deslattes and Shelbi Rizzuto.
