George J. Dugas, 79, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2011, at the St. Charles Parish Hospital. He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, an administrative assistant for Offshore Navigation for 40 years and a member of the Louisiana Wildfowl Carvers and Collectors Guild.
He is survived by his four daughters, Faye Dugas, Lisa Romero (Abel), Tessie Balliviero (Michael) and Candy Riley; one son, Louis Kalade; one brother, Wallace Dugas; two sisters, Joyce Cheney and Lou Dugas; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Yolande Castille Dugas; and parents, Elisie Dugas and Amy Berard.
Visitation and services were held on Thursday, March 10, 2011, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan with Msgr. Harry Bugler officiating. Entombment followed in the church mausoleum. Family and friends are invited to send their condolences to www. hcalexanderfuneralhome.com.
