LAPLACE – A LaPlace man accused of forcing a Garyville woman at gunpoint to have sex with him was arrested early Friday and charged with aggravated rape and aggravated kidnapping, according to the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Juancheus Ceasar, 48, of Franklin Court in LaPlace, was arrested following an investigative traffic stop just minutes after the incident was reported, said Capt. Dane Clement, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office. Clement said Ceasar and the vehicle he was driving matched the descriptions provided by the victim.
The victim, a 31-year-old Garyville woman, told deputies she was walking on Earl Baloney Street in Garyville around 3 a.m. Friday when a man in a white vehicle pulled up next to her, pointed a black hand gun at her and demanded she get in his vehicle. The woman was driven to a remote location in the area, and the suspect ordered her to perform sexual acts, Clement said.
Fearing for her life, the woman complied with the suspect’s demands, Clement said. The suspect then drove the woman back to the location where she was walking, let her go and fled the area.
Ceasar is being held at the Sherman Walker Correctional Center.
