Randolph “Randy” Abel, 63, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011, at East Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was retired as an electrician with the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board and a veteran of the Vietnam War with the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sharon Walker Abel of LaPlace, son, Robert Abel of LaPlace, brother, Herman Abel of Mandeville, seven sisters, Beatrice Brown of Colorado, Rosetta Pellegrin of Moreauville, Eva Shipes of Franklinton, June Lirette of Chauvin, Carol Lilliman of Marrero, Valarie Marcel of Gray and Ellennora Zurigo of Kenner, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Henry Abel and Agnes Navarre.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June, 22, 2011, from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco. Services will be held at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to send their condolences to www.hcalexanderfuneralhome.com.
