On Saturday, May 14, 2011, Marilyn Amato Vicknair, wife of the late Donald J. Vicknair, died at 9:40 a.m. at the age of 76.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Agnes Hymel, and father, Victor Paul Amato, One Paul Victor Amato and Victor Paul Amato Jr.

She is survived by her sister, Audreth A. Scardino of Metairie. She was the mother of Angelia V. Westbrook and husband Andrew of Paulina and Julie V. Champagne and husband David of LaPlace. She was the grandmother of Jessica Michel, Claire Donadieu and husband Matthew, Steven Broussard Jr. and wife Sabine, Kristen Westbrook, Ryan Broussard and wife Michelle, Justin Westbrook and Joseph Westbrook. She was the great-grandmother of Michael Tregre, Scotlyn McGuerty, Matthew Tregre, Trey Adams, Mason Donadieu, Cameron Broussard, Jordan Donadieu, Jadin Broussard, Jasmine Westbrook, Kurtis Westbrook, Donald Broussard, Kyle Westbrook, Tobey Broussard, Alexander Westbrook and Colston Cambre.

She was a member of American Legion Post 195 of Norco and a 1953 graduate of Lutcher High School.
