River Parishes Hospital and United Blood Services are hosting a blood drive today, 1 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. in Suite 309-A of the RPH Medical Pavilion.

Anyone age 16 yearsor older, who weighs at least 110 pounds and is in good health can donate. There is no age limit, and all blood pressure medications and antidepressants are accepted. Some height restrictions apply for anyone under the age of 23. Donors must provide a picture identification card in order to donate. Parental/guardian permission is required for donors 16 years of age.  

All donors will receive blood assur-ance coverage for their family and are automatically enrolled in the “Hero Reward Club!” All donors earn points each time they donate and can redeem points at bloodhero.com for valuable prizes. Plus, all donors will receive a fleur-de-lis shirt.
