LAPLACE – The LaPlace Elementary School 2011-2012 Tigerette Dance Team recently attended a Universal Dance Association Dance camp in Hammond at Southeastern University. The team brought home numerous awards receiving third place for their Home Routine, 110 percent award in recognition for their extra efforts displayed during camp week, and in individual evaluations the team received 21 Superior Blue Ribbons and three Excellent Red Ribbons awarding the team a Superior Trophy Award. Earned the team eligibility to participate in the upcoming Capital One Bowl Game held on New Year’s Day 2012 in Orlando, Fla. All American Awards were received by Jada Butler, Ashlynn Rebstock and Faith Placide earning individual eligibility to participate in the 2011 Thanksgiving Parade in Houston. Also, Jada Butler and Kelsea Prichett received a “Pin It Forward” pin in recognition for their extra efforts displayed during camp and being recognized and pinned by a UDA Staff member.
