The New Orleans Center for Creative Arts is currently looking for potential students for the 2012 Summer Conservatory, which is open to students from across the state of Louisiana.

Summer Conservatory

Taking place June 11-16, the Summer Conservatory is a special summer instructional session for statewide Louisiana students currently in the 8-11 grades. The Summer Conservatory is audition-based, providing a tuition-free intensive arts training session in various arts disciplines including: classical instrumental music, culinary arts, creative writing, dance, drama, media arts: filmmaking and audio production, musical theatre, jazz instrumental music, theatre design, visual arts or vocal music.

To apply, download and complete the NOCCA Arts Application, available at www.nocca.com. Students who mail in a completed application by Jan. 30, will be scheduled for an audition in the spring. Accepted students will be challenged, as this is not a summer camp experience. Dormitories are also available for statewide high school students.
