Hahnville High holds food drive

With November being a month of giving, Hahnville High School’s Student Council and ROTC together hosted a can drive. If the students met the 1,000 can goal, they would receive a snack as a reward.

The students successfully collected 1,035 cans. The cans were evenly divided and donated to the Social Concern Food Bank and St. John the Baptist Church in Paradis for their food harvest program. An additional goal of the can drive was to “can” Principal Ken Oertling out of this office.

ROTC is planning another can drive later this month to provide additional, much needed assistance to the Social Concern Food Bank.
