The fall St. Charles Parish Trash Bash provided the opportunity for 35 volunteers representing Hurst Middle Wetland Watchers and Green Team, Destrehan WISE Club, St. Rose 4H Club, New Sarpy Elementary and Norco Elementary to join forces and clean up areas in and around Wetland Watchers Park along the shore of Lake Pontchartrain. Volunteers collected 22 bags of trash including two full bags of recyclable items for the Hurst Green team to process. Rotolos Pizza in Destrehan generously provided pizza for the hardworking volunteers.
