Curtis John Deroche, 83, passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. He was a veteran with the United States Marines and a member of the “Chosin Few.”

He was husband of 63 years to Virgin Forsyth Deroche, father of Gary and Kirk Deroche Sr., Kay Dornier and Gay Becnel.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Lutcher and will continue on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. at the church with burial to follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum in Paulina. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Lutcher.
