America is being led astray

With more than half a million churches in America, you would think that anyone who has a hunger for the truth could be spiritually fed. The problem is that many churches have pastors who are not spiritually led. They are more concerned about the flesh than the spirit.
I’ve often said that nothing shocks me anymore. Well, this week, a news release out of New Orleans is a good indication why America is morally bankrupt. The article was about a nondenominational pastor and his church who had a project called “Operation Protect.” Sounds innocent enough until you read that it’s a condom giveaway as part of the pastor’s crusade against sexually transmitted diseases.
It isn’t bad enough that some schools started this giveaway promotion years ago, which sent the message that it was OK to have premarital sex, but now a so-called man of God!
A few weeks ago, in one of my articles, I said that America was no longer a Christian nation. I attributed that to the condition of the churches – refusing to call sin, sin.
According to a news report, he is affectionately known as “Da Condom Father.” How sad and what a negative indictment on the churches in America!
His daughter, one of the volunteers, goes door to door handing
out HIV and STD pamphlets and condoms in their neighborhood.
She said that when people see them, they know they’re not the insurance people, but the condom people coming around to give them goodies.
That same daughter is quoted as saying, “We need to do something beyond prayer and burial.”
I’m reminded about what the Bible says about the last days when people will be deceived by ungodly men. My heart goes out to the men and women who are deceived by someone who is supposed to be an ambassador of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
