LaPlace – Wee Care students got a special visit from Specialist Jean-Pierre Vicknair, U.S. Army. Vicknair is the brother to Summer Broussard, a Wee Care teacher. Vicknair returned four weeks ago from a one-year tour in Afghanistan and is now stationed in Fort Knox, Ky. Vicknair taught the students a few Army moves like marching to two cadences, push-ups, low crawls, flutter kicks, how to salute, “attention” and “at ease” stances. He also had the students pretend to jump out of an airplane with a parachute.
