Seniors Emily Laurent and Michael Millet were awarded the Catholic Youth Leadership Award, CYLA, by the Knights of Columbus Ascension of Our Lord. An outstanding male and female graduating senior who is a leader in their school and Catholic life were selected. Both of these seniors exhibit exceptionally strong academic and spiritual qualities. Both were presented a $250 award and will now automatically become eligible for further awards as part of the state CYLA program. Laurent is a senior at Chapelle High School and plans to attend LSU in the fall to major in chemistry. Millet is a senior at St. Charles Catholic High School and plans to attend LSU in the fall to major in chemistry.
