On Sept. 24, representatives from ArcelorMittal presented a check to Sheriff Mike Tregre and St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office in support of the purchase of four bulletproof vests in honor of Brandon Nielsen, Jeremy Triche, Michael Scott Boyington and Jason Triche. “The health and safety of our employees and our neighbors is our most important priority,” said ArcelorMittal LaPlace General Manager Nick Boyan. “While this donation certainly cannot change what happened, we hope that in the future, it will help to protect the lives of the innocent, especially those working selflessly to protect our communities.” Pictured from left to right are St. John Sheriff Mike Tregre, ArcelorMittal LaPlace HR Manager Kristen Barney, St. John Sheriff’s Office Sgt.
