On Saturday, Nov. 10, the River Parishes Fall Festival crowned Erika Beck, 22, as their new 2012-13 Miss Queen of Hearts. She is a junior at the University of Lafayette Louisiana and plans to receive a bachelor’s degree in business management and continue with her recent business plans to open a sports plex for all aspects of sporting entertainment. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, riding horses, teaching, running and reading. She was also awarded the Prettiest Eyes and Fashion awards. She is the daughter of Eric Beck of New Sarpy and Vivian Beck of Norco.

Other winners in the Miss Division were: Taylor Rebowe of Norco, first runner up and winner of the Prettiest Hair, Prettiest Smile and Photogenic awards; Mandy Dallimore of Norco, was selected second runner up.

Lynleigh Landry, 16, of Norco was crowned the 2012-13 Teen Queen of Hearts. She also won the fashion and photogenic award. Landry is presently a junior at St. Charles Catholic High School and an honor student. She is a cheerleader, member of the student council, national honor society and participates in the annual SCC Thanksgiving drive. Her future plans are to attend Louisiana State University and pursue a degree in the medical field to help others. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, reading, shopping and spending time with family and friends. She is the daughter of Michael and Doreen Landry of Norco.

Other winners in the Teen Division were: Macy Bennett of Montz was selected first runner up; Abby Rochelle of Norco was selected second runner up and also won the Prettiest Hair and Prettiest Smile awards.

As the reigning 2012 Miss and Teen Queen of Hearts, Beck and Landry will travel across Louisiana visiting various fairs and festivals. Beck will also represent the River Parishes Fall Festival at the 2013 Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals Convention and Queen of Queens Pageant held in Baton Rouge in February 2013.  

The mistresses of ceremonies for the pageant were Victoria Pellerin, Miss St. Charles Parish Festival Queen, and Ashlyn Hymel, Teen St. Charles Parish Festival Queen. Doreen Landry served as the pageant director.
