LAPLACE – Marathon Petroleum Company, Louisiana Refining Division, recently donated $300,000 toward rebuilding efforts for St. John the Baptist Parish residents.
“It’s an honor and a privilege for us to be located in St. John, and we are committed to providing assistance to the parish,” said Jaime De La Cruz, human resources manager.
The donation will be allocated through the St. John the Baptist Parish Long-Term Recovery Group, which is tasked with providing spiritual, emotional, physical and financial resources to those with the greatest need. Residents can call the Home Repair Hotline at 985-359-0254 Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., email isaacassistance@sjbparish.com, or visit www.stjohnrecovery.com to register for assistance.
“We are grateful to Marathon for their contribution at a time when St. John needs it the most, and we look forward to continuing to work with them in the future,” said Parish President Natalie Robottom.
