Boy Scout Troop 406 of LaPlace recently took a trip to the Great Smokey Mountain National Park, where they camped and hiked 40 miles including a stretch of the Appalachian Trail. The boys have been asked to return next year and facilitate a July 4 program, educating park guests on flag etiquette and retirement.
