According to Dow officials, St. Charles Operations experienced a chemical release early Wednesday morning.
The company has said there is no threat to neighboring communities at this time, and St. Charles Operations has notified all appropriate agencies.
The St. Charles Parish Emergency Operations Center has not issued any protective actions to be taken on the part of the public related to this event. Dow St. Charles Operations has reported that the release has been secured.
